2023 Trending Wedding Color

It’s no surprise that wedding color trends shift and change year to year. Just like anticipating the Pantone color of the year (Viva Magenta if you didn’t know), we also anticipate what color those planning their weddings will want to incorporate. Brides looked to Pinterest Predicts’ 2023 roundup and is expecting a colorful 2023 wedding season. “As part of their trend forecasting, Pinterest found that colorful wedding details will be huge in 2023. The wedding color palettes that they think will be everywhere in 2023? Based on their data, those attending ceremonies and receptions next year should expect to be treated to plenty of terracotta, copper, rust, and burnt orange tones.” Our ballroom venue options leave plenty of room to play with colorful displays and wedding decor.

Honoring Cultural Backgrounds

Stationery is a huge part of wedding trends. Your save-the-dates and wedding invites are your first impressions to potential guests. The Knot outlined some of the top wedding stationery trends you need to know about. One trend is “invitations are evolving to accommodate diversity so you can really highlight your unique personalities.” They also “have a selection of trending wedding invitation cards that can be printed in one language on the front and another on the back. That way, guests with different cultural backgrounds will feel seen and welcomed to the wedding.”

Shift to Destination Weddings

From beach gatherings with palm trees in the distance and the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore to elegant ballrooms with the Atlantic Ocean horizon as your view, Myrtle Beach makes the perfect spot for a destination wedding. ”There’s been a shift toward destination weddings ever since the 2020 coronavirus lockdowns began lifting. Now more than ever, couples want to travel to far-off destinations and celebrate their nuptials abroad.” says Insider X Sarah Wintersteen. With a large selection of accommodations, including everything from hotel suites to villas, Kingston Resorts is super convenient for your guests to book and has plenty of options to get together or spread out.

Weekday Weddings

We like to say that any day of the week is a good day to get married, and so does Wedding Forward! ”Although the pandemic put a hold on many weddings, it certainly hasn’t stopped the influx of engagements! Because of this, the industry has become inundated with postponed weddings, and as a result, venues’ limited weekend availability is causing couples to accept weekday weddings. Does this snowball into an inconvenience for guests (requesting time off to attend)? Sure, but there are benefits that couples will reap, including lower rates and more venue & vendor variety to choose from! Plus, for couples struggling to narrow down their guest list, this can help.” says Carissa, Founder & CEO of Carissa Corsi Events, LLC. At Kingston Resorts, we have a large selection of wedding venues, so the options are plenty, but a weekday wedding is definitely one for the books.

2023 — Weddings, Reimagined

With our variety of wedding venue event options, we’ve seen some pretty amazing wedding creations in Myrtle Beach. Everything from creative seating charts, sparklers galore, and first dances that would challenge any competitor on So You Think You Can Dance. In 2023, Zola found that “couples want their weddings to feel more fun, authentic, and welcoming, and a reflection of their values, and less traditional, religious, and fancy.” This trend will be fun to follow as it gives a unique experience for guests and photos!
