When you think of a Myrtle Beach vacation, is the first thing that comes to mind the warm sun on your skin? Or maybe it’s the salty air breeze? We know one thing’s for sure — no matter what springs to mind first, there’s probably an ice-cold drink in your hand. And luckily, when you stay at Kingston Resorts, you’re never too far from an ice-cold drink!

Recently, we asked some of the bartenders at our bars and restaurants to share a few of their favorite drinks on our menus with you — and they were happy to let us know. In fact, they even went a step further and offered us the recipes, which, of course, we’re so glad to share with you!

Blue Hawaiian from Marika at Coastal Bar

Looking for a drink that reminds you of summertime? Try the Blue Hawaiian! Marika says that the Coconut rum compliments the pineapple juice well, and it’s an excellent option for the beach.

 

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. Bacardi
• 1 oz. Malibu
• 0.75 oz. Blue Curacao Liqueur
• 2 oz. Pineapple Juice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker of ice. Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Garnish with a lemon slice and a maraschino cherry.

Royal Flush from Oren at Coastal Bar

For those who like something a little stronger, Oren has the drink for you!

Ingredients:

• 1.25 oz. Crown Royal
• 0.25 oz. Peach Schnapps
• 3 oz Cranberry Juice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker of ice. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with orange peel.

Old Fashioned from Reggie Cantu at Coastal Bar

You don’t have to be old-fashioned to enjoy an Old Fashioned. Reggie enjoys the sophisticated blend of bourbon, bitters, and simple syrup in this drink.

Ingredients:

• 2 oz. Knob Creek Bourbon
• 0.25 oz Simple Syrup
• 2 dashes of Angostura bitters

Directions:

Add simple syrup and bitters to Rocks glass. Fill your glass with ice. Stir to combine. Add Knob Creek and stir to chill and dilute. Garnish with Luxardo cherry and orange peel.

Bliss on the Beach from James at Wet Whistle Bar

For those who want summertime all of the time, James says this fruity and delicious drink is perfect for the beach!

Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz Tito’s Vodka
• 1 oz. Peach Schnapps
• 2 oz. Orange Juice
• 2 oz. Cranberry Juice

Directions:

Fill cup with ice. Add Tito’s, peach schnapps, and orange juice. Pour over cranberry juice. Garnish with an orange wedge.

Caribbean Punch Bucket from Shannon at Wet Whistle Bar

You know it’s going to be a good time when the bucket drinks start coming out! Shannon’s favorite is the Caribbean Punch Bucket, topped with Wet Whitsle’s new octopus gummies.

Ingredients:

• 1 oz. DonQ Passion Fruit Rum
• 1 oz. DonQ Limon Rum
• 1 oz. Svedka Mango Pineapple Vodka
• Cranberry Juice
• Pineapple Juice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a serving bucket full of ice. Garnish with orange wedge & maraschino cherry.
